Hamilton commuters impacted as Dewitt Road to remain closed for the summer

Three weeks after a rockslide forced the closure of Dewitt Road in Stoney Creek, residents are learning they’ll have to wait even longer to use the route again. City officials say the road is now expected to remain closed through much of the summer as crews work to stabilize the escarpment and address safety concerns. The extended closure is impacting commuters who rely on one of the few roads connecting lower and upper Stoney Creek.
