  • Today, the Winona Men’s Club is welcoming new members - and not just men!

    And as much as their Club name has the word “Men’s” in it, they have adopted a policy that encourages women and non-binary individuals to join and to become active members. And, yes, we are currently discussing a suitable name change to reflect our Club’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    Meeting for dinner monthly, we present entertaining speakers and participate in lively conversation. Way better than networking, it’s making friends of our neighbours.

  • Spear-headed by the Ward 10 Team, The Stoney Creek Community Garden put shovels in the ground behind Old Stoney Creek City Hall (777 Highway 8) - on the site of the former Kiwanis building.

    With help from both the Parks and Roads Departments at the City of Hamilton and, of course, our talented team of volunteer gardeners, we were able to develop 22 garden plots. These plots yielded an incredible harvest in 2024 - fresh, organic produce for the gardeners to enjoy, share with friends and families, and donate to the Stoney Creek Food Bank.

    All High School students will be eligible to claim Community Service Hours towards their OSSD for every meeting attended!

  • The Stoney Creek Food Bank has been responding to the needs of people requiring assistance accessing food for almost 35 years. They are located at 777 Highway 8 (Old Stoney Creek City Hall).

    You can discretely access the Stoney Creek Food Bank via its own entrance, located towards the back of the building on the East side.

    Donations for the Food Bank can be left at the Stoney Creek Public Library - also located within Old Stoney Creek City Hall - during their regular business hours.

    The Food Bank is open 9:30am-1:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

  • Since 1967, the Winona Peach Festival has been delighting our community - and the surrounding area - every August!

    Hard-working volunteers transform Winona Park (1328 Barton Street, Winona) for the weekend, and bring fun for everyone. Enjoy peach-themed treats, the midway, entertainment, lots of vendors, delicious food - and of course - know that you’re supporting local organizations that make our community as vibrant as it is.
