The Stoney Creek Community Garden

For Gardeners. For the Community. For Mother Earth!

We started in 2023 - with an empty plot of land.
Now - our volunteers are gardening, and growing abundantly!

How it started…

Spear-headed by the Ward 10 Team, The Stoney Creek Community Garden put shovels in the ground behind Old Stoney Creek City Hall - on the site of the former Kiwanis building.

With help from both the Parks and Roads Departments at the City of Hamilton and, of course, our talented team of volunteer gardeners, we were able to develop 22 garden plots. These plots yielded an incredible harvest in 2024 - fresh, organic produce for the gardeners to enjoy, share with friends and families, and donate to the Stoney Creek Food Bank.

How it’s going…

We’re excited to be in our 2nd season at the newly revitalized Stoney Creek Community Garden!

Poised to develop even more garden beds, take on even more gardeners, and ultimately grow even more produce for the benefit of our community!
