Since 2022…
Jeff, and the Ward 10 Team, have been proud to serve
the shared communities Stoney Creek, Fruitland & Winona
The strength and community spirit of Stoney Creekers, Fruitlanders and Winonians has never been stronger, and it’s proven in the many initiatives that we’ve undertaken together, including the creation of our Stoney Creek Youth Council (the largest in Hamilton with over 25 members from across Stoney Creek), the Stoney Creek Community Garden (successfully rebooted in 2024), and the Winona Park Outdoor Skating Rink (revitalized last year and continuing a proud 70 year history in our Community). This, in addition to our existing events and traditions - including Easter Egg Hunts, Hallowe’en Bashes, Groundhog Day Outdoor Skates and our World Famous Peach Festival.
Within our Ward 10 Office, Jeff assembled our Team, which goes above and beyond every single day to support our Community: Jackie, our Office Manager; Leena, our Developments and Special Projects Coordinator and Jessica, who supports our local Ward Projects and Administers our Robust Communications Plan. With the opening of our Ward Office in 2023 at Old Stoney Creek City Hall, our Team remains committed and connected to our community first and foremost. Remember to pop by on Fridays between 10 & 3 to say ‘Hi’!
Our Ward has been a very busy place over the past 2+ years, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Since taking office, Jeff has prioritized investment in Parks, starting with Cherry Heights and DeWitt Park in 2023. Corman, Ferris and Hunter Estates Park in 2024, and Lake Pointe Park in 2025. More investment will continue in the coming years, with Peachwood Park, John Willson, John Santarelli, Lake Vista and Mapledene Parks on the horizon. Ward 10 will also be the site of many new parks, planned for key growth areas within our Community.
Jeff has worked hard to build a solid relationship with the Chief and local area Command, through the above initiatives, as well as Police Appearances at local Schools, Events and Community engagement programs such as ‘Coffee with a Cop’. This is all part of my plan to help increase Police presence in our Ward, which Jeff knows is extremely important to community members. Jeff is grateful for unvarnished feedback on important local and City Issues from Ward 10 residents. Whether through email, by phone, through social media or in person the Ward 10 Team values your thoughts and observations, as we move forward to help make our Community even Better!
Since elected as the Ward 10 Councillor in 2022, Jeff has served on many City Committees including Audit, Finance & Administration, Planning, Public Works, as well on the Agriculture & Rural Affairs and Airport Sub Committees – to name a few. The complete list of committees that Jeff serves on can be found by tapping the button below.

About Ward 10
Ward 10 is primarily an urban ward, with a strong rural component situated below the Niagara Escarpment. An active industrial and commercial corridor known as the Stoney Creek Business Park is located south of the Queen Elizabeth Way.
Bordered by the lower edge of the Escarpment to the south, Lake Ontario to the north, the city municipal boundary with Niagara Region to the east just past Fifty Rd, and Grays Road to the west.
Ward 10 is part of the broader community of Stoney Creek ( which also extends westward beyond Centennial Parkway) as is home to the historic communities of Fruitland and Winona. We are home to Mohawk College STARRT Institute, a section of the Hamilton Waterfront Trail, and are the site of Canada’s Largest Peach Celebration – the Winona Peach Festival.
Ward 10 is located within the Hamilton Conservation Authority watershed and home one of Hamilton’s busiest Conservation Areas, Fifty Point.
Ward 10 is situated upon the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which was an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. We further acknowledge that this land is covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Today, the City of Hamilton is home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island (North America) and we recognize that we must do more to learn about the rich history of this land so that we can better understand our roles as residents, neighbours, partners and caretakers.
Stoney Creek, Fruitland and Winona are steeped in a rich agricultural heritage, and are still home to a number of successful fruit farms with centuries-long legacies of growing tender fruit. We are proud to be the gateway to Niagara Region’s world-class wine country, with 2 award-winning wineries within Ward 10: Puddicombe Estate Winery and Leaning Post Wines.
Ward 10 is also the home of the World Famous Winona Peach Festival - along with the Winona Easter Egg Hunt, the Lake Pointe Park Canada Day Celebration, & the Winona Hallowe’en Bash.
